Tri-services tableau to debut in R-Day parade

The tableau will depict a Joint Operations Room, symbolising seamless networking and communication among the three services…reports Asian Lite news

For the first time, a Tri-Services tableau will participate in the 76th Republic Day Parade, showcasing the integration and jointness of the Indian Armed Forces. The tableau, themed ‘Shashakt aur Surakshit Bharat’, underscores the collaborative spirit among the Army, Navy, and Air Force, according to an official statement.

The tableau will depict a Joint Operations Room, symbolising seamless networking and communication among the three services. It will also feature a battlefield scenario with synchronised operations across land, water, and air. Indigenous defence platforms such as the Arjun Main Battle Tank, Tejas MKII fighter aircraft, Advanced Light Helicopter, destroyer INS Visakhapatnam, and a Remotely Piloted Aircraft will demonstrate tri-services synergy in multi-domain operations.

These platforms embody the vision of achieving Aatmanirbharta (self-reliance) in defence. The Ministry of Defence has declared 2025 as the “Year of Reforms,” focusing on strengthening jointness and integration within the Armed Forces.

Themed ‘Shashakt aur Surakshit Bharat,’ the tableau highlights military integration and Aatmanirbharta in defence.

Jointness and integration are core mandates of the Department of Military Affairs, identified as essential for maximising combat potential in contemporary and future conflicts. Headquarters, Integrated Defence Staff, has been driving initiatives to enhance tri-services synergy, steering reforms towards operational excellence.

The Republic Day Parade 2025 will celebrate India’s cultural diversity and military strength, marking 75 years since the enactment of the Constitution. This year’s parade will also highlight Jan Bhagidari (public participation), reflecting a collective spirit of national pride.

Indonesia’s President, Mr Prabowo Subianto, will be the Chief Guest at the parade. Defence Secretary Rajesh Kumar Singh announced that a 160-member marching contingent and a 190-member band contingent from Indonesia will join the event alongside Indian Armed Forces contingents.

The Tri-Services tableau not only reflects the Armed Forces’ operational synergy but also serves as a testament to India’s military modernisation and commitment to safeguarding national security.
