KCF Festival Unites Karnataka Talent in UAE 

Enthusiastic participants displayed Karnataka’s cultural legacy through various artistic performances, making the event a grand celebration of talent.  

The 6th edition of the KCF UAE National Level Talent Festival, Prathibhotsava 25, was successfully held at Shamkha, Abu Dhabi, bringing together over 300 participants from eight zonal teams representing different emirates. The festival featured more than 90 high-energy cultural competitions, judged by professionals, showcasing the rich artistic traditions and heritage of Karnataka. 

In a fiercely contested battle for supremacy, the Abu Dhabi zone emerged as the overall champion for the second consecutive time, while the Dubai South zone secured the runner-up position. Participants captivated audiences with dynamic performances across music, dance, and theatre, reflecting the vibrant culture of Karnataka and reinforcing community ties among expatriates in the UAE. 

A special highlight of the festival was the Cookery Contest and Best Out of Waste competition, exclusively arranged for women. These contests provided a platform for creativity and innovation, encouraging female participants to display their skills in culinary arts and sustainable crafting.

The closing ceremony was a grand affair, attended by intellectuals, business entrepreneurs, and prominent KCF leaders. A historic moment unfolded at the venue with the presentation of KCF UAE’s first-ever KCF Business Excellency Award. The prestigious honour was bestowed upon Indian expatriate Mr. Abdul Rahiman Kuttoor, Chairman of Baniyas Spike Group of Companies, in recognition of his outstanding entrepreneurial journey. His contributions to education, innovation, and business excellence were widely applauded by the organisers. 

Additionally, Dr. Abudhabker Safeline Group of Companies and Iqbal Siddakkatte were honoured with mementos for their unwavering support of cultural and business initiatives. Their contributions have played a crucial role in fostering growth and development within the community. 

In an intense contest, the Abu Dhabi zone emerged as the overall champion for the second consecutive time, while the Dubai South zone secured the runner-up position. 

The closing ceremony commenced with a prayer by Sayyed Taha Thangal, setting a reflective and inspiring tone for the evening. The welcome speech was delivered by Bright Ibrahim, and the event was presided over by Ibrahim Saqafi. Notable dignitaries in attendance included Rafeek Bava, Engineer Nooruddeen, PMH Ishwaramangilam, Hameed Sadi Ishwaramangilam, Zainuddeen Haji Bellare, and other esteemed KCF office bearers such as KH Latheef Kakkinje. The presence of representatives from the Beary Chamber of Commerce, including Hidayath Addoor and Ashraf Sha Manthoor, added further prestige to the occasion. 

The festival concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks by Hakeem Thurkalike, marking the end of a vibrant and successful celebration of talent, culture, and community spirit. With its continued success, Prathibhotsava remains a cornerstone event for the Karnataka community in the UAE, fostering cultural pride and artistic excellence.
