‘Kantara: Chapter 1’ Gears Up for Grand War Sequence

Following the success of the original ‘Kantara,’ which showcased the Kola Festival’s vibrant traditions, the upcoming chapter is expected to build on its predecessor’s epic narrative.

The highly anticipated Rishab Shetty-starrer pan-India film ‘Kantara: Chapter 1’ is set to feature a monumental war sequence that aims to elevate the cinematic experience. Produced by Hombale Films, the sequence is being shot with a massive crew and the collaboration of international specialists to deliver a visually stunning spectacle.

An industry source revealed, “Hombale Films is working on an extensive war sequence for ‘Kantara: Chapter 1’. This sequence, crafted with a large crew and several international experts, promises to be unlike anything seen before.” Set in the Kadamba period of Karnataka, ‘Kantara: Chapter 1’ explores a golden era known for its opulence and cultural significance. The film also delves into the rich tradition of Kalaripayattu, one of the oldest martial arts, with Rishab Shetty undergoing a year-long training to master the art.

Following the success of the original ‘Kantara,’ which showcased the Kola Festival’s vibrant traditions, the upcoming chapter is expected to build on its predecessor’s epic narrative. The original film was a major box office success, becoming the second highest-grossing Kannada film of all time and earning critical acclaim, including the Silver Peacock – Special Jury Award at the 54th IFFI Indian Panorama section. Fans eagerly await the release, anticipating another cinematic triumph from Hombale Films.
