13 Indian sailors among 14 crew rescued after explosives-laden boat strikes cargo vessel off Yemen coast…reports Asian Lite News Desk
An India-flagged cargo vessel, Faize Noore Oliya, sank after being attacked by an explosives-laden boat in the Red Sea off Yemen’s western coast. Yemen’s National Resistance Forces said 14 crew members, including 13 Indian sailors and one Yemeni national, were rescued in a joint coast guard and naval operation.
The crew was taken to safety and provided medical assistance, with no casualties reported. The NRF blamed Yemen’s Houthi group for the attack, though the group has not issued a response. The incident adds to rising concerns over maritime security in the Red Sea, where commercial vessels have faced repeated attacks.
