The shipment was handed over by Indian Ambassador to Harsh Kumar Jain to Ukraine’s Deputy Minister of Health of Ukraine Oleskii Iaremenko who is in charge of Humanitarian Aid and European Integration.

Speaking at the event, Ambassador Jain expressed his confidence that the assistance will help Ukraine’s people during this challenging time.

Further commenting, he said that despite the current challenges, India is still committed to providing humanitarian aid to the people of Ukraine.

She also noted that India had sent 11 consignments totaling about 97.5 tonnes of aid to Ukraine and its neighbors, including Romania, Moldova, Slovakia, and Poland, over the previous six months.

Beginning on May 17, the Indian mission in Kiev began operations after temporarily moving to Warsaw (Poland) on March 13.
