The UAE’s rapid emergence as a global centre for humanoid robotics has been reaffirmed by Alexey Yuzhakov, Chairman of the Board of Directors at Promobot, one of Russia’s foremost developers of industrial and service robots. Speaking to the Emirates News Agency (WAM) during the first UAE–Russia Business Forum in Dubai, Yuzhakov said the Emirates now provides one of the strongest environments anywhere in the world for developing, testing, and deploying advanced humanoid technologies.
Yuzhakov underscored that the trajectory of global technological progress is increasingly shaped by the capacity to organise and process vast quantities of data—an area where AI-enhanced robotics will play a decisive role. Robots, he said, are becoming indispensable for tasks that require long hours, repetitive motions, or high precision. As AI and robotics converge, he predicted that humanoid machines will soon become as commonplace in daily work environments as computers are today.
Promobot’s primary focus in the UAE is the development of humanoid robots tailored for a fast-expanding international market. Yuzhakov pointed to global forecasts—including those from Goldman Sachs—which identify humanoid robotics as the next major technological revolution after smartphones and electric cars, with expectations of multi-trillion-dollar market growth over the coming decade.
He added that Promobot aims to support the creation of a locally developed universal robotics platform in the UAE, driven by the nation’s strong innovation ecosystem, advanced regulatory structure, and long-term technological vision. These conditions, he said, make the Emirates uniquely positioned to lead the next wave of robotics transformation.
The chairman also emphasised the importance of the UAE–Russia Business Forum as a bridge for cooperation among government bodies, industry leaders, and technology innovators from both countries. The event, he noted, offers a strategic platform to accelerate collaboration in emerging sectors, particularly AI, automation, and next-generation manufacturing.
The first UAE–Russia Business Forum—organised by the Russia–UAE Business Council in partnership with the Roscongress Foundation, and supported by the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade alongside Marathon Investment Group—brings together senior representatives from major companies, investment funds, ministries, and high-growth startups. The gathering aims to deepen economic ties and explore new opportunities across innovation-driven industries.
