Dubai has taken another major step toward embedding artificial intelligence across its public sector, as the Dubai Future Foundation announced the successful conclusion of the second edition of the Dubai Centre for Artificial Intelligence (DCAI) Accelerator Programme. The initiative brought together a new wave of Emirati and international AI companies, all working hand in hand with government partners to develop solutions that promise to raise the efficiency, accuracy, and quality of services provided across the emirate.
In this latest cycle, DCAI selected leading firms from a highly competitive pool of 1,300 submissions received from innovators, startups, and technology companies around the world. More than 20 government entities contributed 105 use cases, outlining challenges ranging from customer service and heritage preservation to financial forecasting, public health, and emergency response.
At the programme’s demo day, AI companies showcased the advanced tools they co-developed with government teams, presenting their work before Chief AI Officers drawn from across Dubai’s public sector. The solutions demonstrated the breadth of AI’s potential impact on government operations. Among the showcased innovations were enterprise GenAI productivity tools, AI-driven call centre assistants, predictive analytics systems for finance, population survey automation, and self-assessment tools for patient symptoms.
Other projects covered cutting-edge areas such as AI-powered restoration for archaeological artefacts, dynamic ambulance deployment models, automated data-management systems, sports itinerary generators, and intelligent agents for handling customer complaints.
Saeed Al Falasi, Executive Director of DCAI, said the programme’s second edition highlighted “strong collaboration between the public and private sectors to design and deliver effective services and solutions for current and future challenges”, noting that its outcomes directly support the Dubai Universal Blueprint for Artificial Intelligence.
The event also hosted a panel discussion on accelerating innovation across the public sector, featuring Chief AI Officers from the Department of Finance, Dubai Corporation for Ambulance Services, and the Dubai Health Authority. Participants underscored the importance of co-creation, rapid testing cycles, and clear regulatory frameworks in scaling AI adoption.
A key advantage for participating companies is that they retain 100 percent ownership of their intellectual property, while gaining direct channels to collaborate with government entities, build strategic relationships with decision-makers, and explore expansion opportunities in Dubai and beyond.
