Two men and two women arrested over the firing incident have been remanded in police custody as investigators examine their movements and alleged preparations before the attack…reports Asian Lite News Desk

Four people arrested in connection with the firing incident linked to Bollywood actor Tiger Shroff have been remanded in police custody until October 26 by a magistrate’s court in Mumbai.

The four accused, including two women, were produced before the court on Thursday, October 22, following their arrest by the Delhi Police Special Cell’s NDR unit on October 20.

The accused have been identified as Kunal, 21, and Sumit, 19, from Sonipat in Haryana, and Radha, 23, from Sitapur, and Babita, 23, from Azamgarh, both in Uttar Pradesh.

Investigators are examining the suspects’ movements following the incident and their alleged preparations before the firing. According to reports, the four allegedly travelled to Surat in Gujarat after the incident and boarded a train bound for Jaipur.

They reportedly planned to travel to New Delhi before attempting to escape to Nepal. However, Mumbai Police arrested them in Kota, Rajasthan, before they could reach Delhi.

Police investigate alleged weapon testing

Police sources have claimed that the accused practised shooting before the incident. Investigators are also examining reports that a firearm was test-fired inside a hotel room in Mumbai’s Andheri area.

According to police sources, the accused disclosed during questioning the location where they had allegedly tested the weapon. The reported practice session is being examined as part of the investigation into the circumstances surrounding the firing.

The suspects allegedly wanted to ensure that the firearm was functioning properly before carrying out the attack on Shroff. Reports citing police sources said both suspects were believed to have fired the weapon during the practice session.

A misfire reportedly occurred while the firearm was being tested in the hotel room. One of the bullets allegedly struck a bed, according to sources cited in reports on the investigation.

The incident is said not to have attracted suspicion from hotel staff or other people at the premises at the time.

Police are investigating the reported weapon testing and the alleged movements of the accused after the firing. The information about their travel plans and the circumstances of the alleged practice session has been attributed to reports and police sources.

The four suspects remain in police custody until October 26 as investigators continue questioning them and examining evidence linked to the case.

The investigation is expected to focus on establishing the sequence of events before and after the firing, including how the accused allegedly obtained and tested the firearm and their movements across different states.

The allegations against the four accused remain subject to the ongoing investigation and legal proceedings.
