France Protest Network Exposed? Report Identifies 54 Organisations

An investigation has identified 54 organisations it says supported or amplified protests in France…reports Asian Lite News Desk

A network of 54 organisations, including communist and socialist groups, student associations, trade unions and pro-Palestinian organisations, has been linked to recent protests in France, according to an investigative report. The groups are alleged to have helped organise, support or amplify the demonstrations as part of a wider movement spanning several continents.

The report, published by Fox News Digital, describes the network as “Chaos Inc.” and claims it operates across Europe, Asia, Australia, Africa, North America and South America. The organisations identified range from groups directly involved in demonstrations to those expressing solidarity or sharing protest-related coverage.

According to the report, 16 of the 54 organisations are student or youth groups, while the remaining 38 include political parties, labour unions, communist and revolutionary Left organisations, advocacy groups and international media outlets.

The report also identifies the Yellow Vests movement, known in French as Gilets jaunes, and La France Insoumise (LFI), or France Unbowed, among the groups associated with the broader protest landscape.

French Prime Minister Sébastien Lecornu has accused LFI of “sowing chaos” and exploiting student demonstrations and cost-of-living protests for electoral advantage ahead of the 2027 presidential election.

The report alleges that far-Left socialist and communist organisations helped organise and amplify student protests from the outset. It argues that concerns about school conditions were used to mobilise a wider political movement opposing capitalism, government austerity measures, policing and military expenditure.

International links and protest amplification

The investigation highlights a message posted on X by communist leader and academic Vijay Prashad as an example of the international framing of the demonstrations.

As student protests in France coincided with wider demonstrations on Saturday, Prashad wrote: “Paris-New Delhi-Buenos Aires,” drawing on a line from British punk band The Clash: ‘Let fury have the hour, anger can be power’.

Fox News Digital linked Prashad’s position as executive director of Tricontinental Ltd. to the wider network it describes in the report. The nonprofit organisation is funded by Neville Roy Singham, an American-born Marxist technology entrepreneur who lives in Shanghai.

The report also names Tricontinental, CodePink and BreakThrough News among organisations it associates with networks linked to Singham.

According to the investigation, BreakThrough News shared coverage of the French demonstrations under the headline “ANTI-MACRON PROTESTS ROCK FRANCE”. The report describes footage from Montpellier, Paris, Marseille, Bordeaux, Strasbourg and Saint-Etienne, including scenes of smoke, Palestinian flags, fires and clashes between demonstrators and police.

The outlet’s coverage also featured politicians from LFI, the report said.

Fox News Digital further referred to an interview with BreakThrough News in which Jodie Evans, CodePink’s co-founder and Singham’s wife, discussed a planned campaign in Washington in November opposing US military spending.

Evans referred to youth demonstrations in several countries while encouraging Americans to participate in the campaign.

“I want people to look at France, Spain and India,” Evans said.

The report also identified two Muslim student and pro-Palestine organisations among the groups associated with the protest network. It listed 12 labour unions, teachers’ federations and farmers’ organisations, alongside 11 human rights, parents’, environmental and economic-justice groups.

Coordinated youth mobilisation

The investigation said an international coalition of 28 communist and socialist youth organisations was mobilising students and young people for a coordinated strike across 12 European countries.

The campaign, promoted under the slogan “Fight for Our Future, Not Their Wars!”, calls for student walkouts, demonstrations, assemblies, blockades and occupations, according to the report.

It also identified Indian Alliance Paris as a France-based organisation that connected French and Indian protests through social media. The report said the organisation had partnered with the Singham network’s People’s Forum for an event.

Fox News Digital said its guide, titled “Who’s Who Guide to Chaos Inc. in France”, documented the 54 organisations and categorised their activities, including direct participation in demonstrations, political organising, public expressions of solidarity and media coverage.

The report’s findings describe a broad range of political and advocacy groups, but the identification of an organisation as a supporter or amplifier does not, by itself, establish that it organised or participated in violence. The report’s allegations about the network and its role in the protests are attributed to Fox News Digital.
