Greetings continued to pour in from around the world for Prime Minister Narendra Modi on his 76th birthday, with foreign leaders, diplomats and diplomatic missions extending wishes and highlighting ties with India.
Dominica Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit on Thursday extended birthday greetings to Modi, wishing him good health and continued strength in his service to the people of India.
“On behalf of the Government and people of the Commonwealth of Dominica, I extend warm birthday wishes to Prime Minister Narendra Modi. May the year ahead bring you good health and continued strength in service to the people of India,” Skerrit posted on X.
Several foreign envoys and diplomatic missions in India also conveyed birthday greetings, referring to the longstanding relationships and partnerships between India and their respective countries.
Sri Lankan High Commissioner to India Mahishini Colonné shared her wishes on X, emphasising the enduring friendship between Sri Lanka and India.
“Warm birthday greetings to Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. Sri Lanka cherishes its enduring friendship and close partnership with India. Wishing Prime Minister Modi good health, happiness and continued success,” she posted.
The Embassy of the Netherlands in India also wished Modi on his birthday, referring to the strategic partnership signed during his visit to the Netherlands in May 2026.
“Wishing Hon’ble Prime Minister Narendra Modi a happy birthday from the Kingdom of the Netherlands! The signing of our strategic partnership during PM Modi’s recent visit to the Netherlands in May 2026 elevated our existing bilateral collaboration and has continued to grow and strengthen our ties,” the embassy posted on X.
Maya Tissafi, Switzerland’s Ambassador to India, also extended her birthday wishes to the Prime Minister and referred to opportunities for further cooperation between the two countries.
“My warm wishes to Prime Minister Narendra Modi on his birthday. May the year ahead bring continued growth for India under his leadership, and many more opportunities for Switzerland and India to work together,” Tissafi posted.
Former Israeli Ambassador to India Daniel Carmon also sent birthday greetings to Modi on X.
“My best personal birthday wishes to honourable PM, Narendra Modi, a most respected World leader, the Son of India, a friend of Israel,” Carmon posted.
The messages come as India maintains diplomatic and strategic partnerships with countries across different regions, with foreign missions regularly marking significant occasions involving senior Indian leaders.
Modi was born on September 17, 1950, in Vadnagar, Gujarat. He became Prime Minister in May 2014 and is currently serving his third consecutive term.
The birthday greetings from Dominica, Sri Lanka, the Netherlands, Switzerland and Israel also reflect the range of international relationships maintained by India, spanning the Caribbean, South Asia, Europe and the Middle East.
The Netherlands referred specifically to the strategic partnership signed during Modi’s May 2026 visit, while representatives from Sri Lanka and Switzerland highlighted their respective countries’ continuing cooperation with India.
