During the festival, Alia also spoke about her upcoming project ‘Alpha’, teasing audiences with details about the film and acknowledging the challenges that come with it. Describing the project as a “risk,” she explained that Alpha marks the first female-led action film from the Yash Raj Films (YRF) Universe. “You’ve not historically seen that perform in the same way that male-led films have performed,” she said, as quoted by Deadline, highlighting the industry’s evolving dynamics.
Alpha, the seventh film in the YRF Universe, stars Alia Bhatt, Sharvari, and Bobby Deol in pivotal roles. Produced by Yash Raj Films, the film is scheduled for release on April 17, 2026, and is widely expected to be a milestone moment for female-led action cinema in India.
