Plant-Based Fashion Breakthrough

The brand currently collaborates with more than 150 artisan clusters across India and follows a strict zero-waste production philosophy. All fabric offcuts and surplus materials are upcycled, ensuring that nothing goes to landfills

Jiwya Textiles Pvt. Ltd. (JIWYA), a sustainable luxury brand championing a fully plant-based, soil-to-soil fashion ecosystem, has secured USD 350,000 in funding from UAE-based Kiara Luxe Holdings. The investment comes close on the heels of Jiwya’s international runway debut at London Fashion Week, marking a significant global milestone for India’s regenerative fashion movement.

In September 2025, Jiwya showcased its SS26 Katidha collection at Devonshire Square in collaboration with Oxford Fashion Studio. The presentation featured garments made entirely from plant-based fibres, natural dyes, and biodegradable trims—reinforcing the brand’s commitment to circularity and its mission to eliminate waste from every stage of the fashion value chain. The collection also celebrated India’s rich textile heritage, spotlighting intricate craftsmanship from artisan communities across the country.

Founded by textile scientists Adhiraj Shinde and Aishwarya Lahariya, Jiwya has developed a unique soil-to-soil model in which every component—from fabrics and dyes to labels, trims, and packaging—is derived exclusively from plants and returns safely to the earth at the end of its lifecycle. The brand currently collaborates with more than 150 artisan clusters across India and follows a strict zero-waste production philosophy. All fabric offcuts and surplus materials are upcycled, ensuring that nothing goes to landfills.

Shinde described the investment as a transformative step for the brand. “Partnering with Kiara Luxe Holdings strengthens our ability to take plant-based fashion to global markets. This investment allows us to scale our regenerative supply chain and establish Jiwya in major cities worldwide,” he said.

Designer and co-founder Lahariya emphasised the momentum generated by their London Fashion Week debut. “Our runway presentation marked the beginning of a meaningful shift toward soil-positive fashion. With this funding, we can accelerate innovation in plant-based textiles and expand the reach of our artisan-led ecosystem,” she noted.

The newly raised funds will support Jiwya’s global expansion strategy, including strengthening production capacities, enhancing environmental and social impact initiatives, and deepening collaborations with artisan communities. A significant portion will be allocated to R&D, enabling the company to develop next-generation plant-based fibres, dyes, and biodegradable materials. With this investment, Jiwya aims to set new global standards for regenerative fashion and position India as a leader in sustainable textile innovation.

Redbrick Capital Advisors served as the sole financial advisor for the fundraising round. The 18-year-old investment bank, with offices in Mumbai and Singapore, specialises in guiding SMEs through their capital-raising journeys.
