Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week 2026 will unite world leaders, investors and innovators to align energy, water, climate and finance systems, accelerating real-world solutions for a resilient global future.
Under the patronage of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week (ADSW) 2026 will return from 11 to 15 January with an expanded agenda and renewed ambition, positioning the UAE once again at the centre of the global sustainability conversation. Hosted by Masdar, the landmark event will convene heads of state, ministers, investors, industry leaders and innovators at a time when the world faces mounting pressure to rethink how its core systems function and connect.
Now entering its third decade, ADSW arrives at a critical juncture. Governments and markets are grappling with the realities of climate change, energy transition, water stress and food security, while new technologies and financial models are opening pathways to accelerate solutions. The 2026 edition captures this moment through its theme, “The Nexus of Next: All Systems Go”, urging leaders to look beyond siloed responses and focus on how energy, finance, food, water and nature can reinforce one another to deliver lasting impact.
A global platform for interconnected solutions
ADSW 2026 will shine a spotlight on the technologies and policies reshaping global resilience. From AI-driven energy networks and digital infrastructure to climate finance mechanisms and innovations in food and water security, the week is designed to move beyond dialogue and towards practical outcomes. By bringing together decision-makers from across interconnected sectors, the event aims to establish new benchmarks for collaboration, investment and measurable progress.
Over the past 18 years, Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week has built a reputation as a catalyst for international cooperation. The 2025 edition drew more than 50,000 participants from over 170 countries, including 13 heads of state and senior government leaders. That legacy of convening power will be amplified in 2026, with a broader focus on translating ideas into action and scaling solutions that can be replicated across regions.
New features to deepen impact
The upcoming edition will introduce several new platforms designed to strengthen engagement and accelerate outcomes. The ADSW Dialogues will host high-level discussions aimed at turning insight into implementation, while the newly launched Blue Forum, developed in partnership with the Sino-International Entrepreneurs Federation, will place water security and blue economy solutions firmly on the global agenda.
ADSW 2026 will also expand its role as a showcase for breakthrough innovation. Delegates can expect to see clean technologies and digital solutions making their global debut, reinforcing Abu Dhabi’s position as a launchpad for next-generation energy, water and climate technologies. AI-enabled engagement tools will further enhance participation, capturing insights, tracking commitments and connecting stakeholders throughout the week.
Dr Sultan Al Jaber, Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology and Chairman of Masdar, said the 2026 edition builds on nearly two decades of UAE leadership in renewable energy and sustainable development. He noted that ADSW will convene leaders and innovators at the forefront of what he described as the “Nexus of Next”, aligning systems to unlock new opportunities for economic and social progress.
He added that ADSW 2026 will not only bring together those shaping today’s decisions but will also empower the next generation of changemakers through initiatives such as the Zayed Sustainability Prize, which continues to support innovators delivering tangible solutions in communities around the world.
A packed programme across sectors
Key moments during the week include the ADSW Opening Ceremony and Zayed Sustainability Prize Awards on 13 January at ADNEC, followed by the ADSW Summit featuring global leaders in policy, finance and industry. The World Future Energy Summit will once again anchor the week, hosting more than 700 global brands alongside start-ups, investors and technology pioneers, with dedicated zones focused on AI, cleantech and innovation.
Other flagship events include the WiSER Forum, celebrating women driving sustainability across sectors, and the Youth 4 Sustainability Forum and Hub, which will bring together more than 3,500 young people to shape ideas and careers around climate action. The Green Hydrogen Summit will convene stakeholders working to accelerate the global hydrogen economy, while the Global South Utilities Forum will connect policymakers, developers and financiers focused on emerging markets.
Partner events will further extend the week’s global reach, including the IRENA Assembly from 11 to 12 January and the Global Climate Finance Centre Annual Meeting on 15 January, drawing leaders from finance, government and industry to align capital with climate goals.
Supported by a strong coalition of partners, including ADNOC, DEWA, TotalEnergies, Emirates Global Aluminium, Aldar and several Abu Dhabi government entities, ADSW 2026 underscores the UAE’s commitment to shaping a sustainable future through collaboration, innovation and investment.
