Diplomats from Mauritius, Barbados, Seychelles, Guatemala, Uruguay and Ethiopia attended the Sanskruti Centre event to mark the UN World Day for Cultural Diversity for Dialogue and Development.
In a powerful celebration of diversity and shared humanity, Bāndhavya brought together Diplomats from six nations at the House of Lords to mark the UN World Day for Cultural Diversity for Dialogue and Development.
Organised by the Sanskruti Centre for Cultural Excellence under the patronage of Baroness Verma, the event showcased how culture can create lasting connections between people from different backgrounds.

Diplomats from Mauritius, Barbados, Seychelles, Guatemala, Uruguay and Ethiopia, Their Excellencies Dr Rajeshwar Jeetah, Mr Edmund Hinkson S.C., Ms Patsy Moustache, Ms Carla Rodrigues Marcia, Mr Luis Bermúdez, and Mr Lalisa Brihanu, Associate Prof. Geoff Paul of University of Sunderland in London and British Army Registrar Major Munish Chauhan have oined artists, charitable organisations and community groups in a unique gathering dedicated to dialogue and intercultural understanding. The presence of such a diverse audience reflected the growing importance of cultural diplomacy in strengthening relationships between countries and communities.

Speakers emphasised that cultural diversity is a force that can drive social cohesion, mutual respect and sustainable development. The event echoed the values of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
Guests were treated to an inspiring cultural programme featuring India’s classical, folk and tribal dance traditions. The Lambadi, Koya, Koli, Bharatanatyam and Monologue performances captivated audiences and demonstrated how artistic expression can unite people beyond language, geography and nationality. The programme was chaired by Amrit Mann and Vote of thanks was rendered by DR Ragasudha Vinjamuri, the Founder of Sanskruti Centre.
