MG SELECT Unveils Limited Couture EVs

Milind Shah, Head of MG SELECT at JSW MG Motor India, said the editions combine strong customer demand with craftsmanship and rarity, reinforcing the brand’s focus on curated luxury experiences…reports Asian Lite News Desk

MG SELECT has expanded the boundaries of luxury electric mobility by introducing exclusive Couture Editions of its flagship electric vehicles, the MG M9 and MG Cyberster, blending high-end automotive engineering with Indian couture design.

The luxury division of JSW MG Motor India has launched the MG M9 Couture Edition at ₹84.94 lakh and the MG Cyberster Couture Edition at ₹87.49 lakh (ex-showroom). Developed in collaboration with internationally acclaimed fashion designer Gaurav Gupta, the limited-edition models aim to redefine the relationship between luxury vehicles and fashion.

The collaboration reflects Gupta’s signature design philosophy, bringing elements traditionally associated with couture into automotive interiors and styling. Both vehicles feature his distinctive Serpent Infinity motif, a design symbolising transformation, continuity and strength. The theme is expressed through intricate embroidery, tonal textures and handcrafted detailing that create a dynamic visual effect as light moves across the surfaces.

The partnership began earlier this year with a special interpretation of the MG Cyberster displayed at the opening of Gupta’s menswear flagship store in New Delhi. It reached a new milestone during the unveiling of Gupta’s Light Song couture collection in Mumbai, where the two Couture Edition vehicles were showcased as an extension of the fashion presentation.

MG SELECT says the special editions build on the growing popularity of the Cyberster electric roadster and the M9 luxury electric MPV while adding an element of exclusivity. Each Couture Edition kit will be limited to just 50 units, making the models highly collectible for buyers seeking bespoke electric mobility.

Milind Shah, Head of MG SELECT at JSW MG Motor India, said the editions combine strong customer demand with craftsmanship and rarity, reinforcing the brand’s focus on curated luxury experiences.

Designer Gaurav Gupta described the collaboration as proof that exceptional design can transcend industries. He said the project combines couture craftsmanship, precision and storytelling with luxury mobility to create vehicles that are both expressive and functional.

The Couture Editions will be available exclusively through MG SELECT Experience Centres in 14 Indian cities, with deliveries scheduled to begin on August 10, 2026. Reservations are now open, marking another step in the growing convergence of fashion, technology and premium electric vehicles.
