Kenya has reaffirmed its strong relationship with Japan following a meeting with Her Imperial Highness Princess Takamado at State House in Nairobi.
During the meeting, Kenyan officials highlighted the longstanding and mutually beneficial ties between the two countries and discussed areas where bilateral cooperation could be further strengthened.
The talks focused on the urgent need to tackle climate change, expand cooperation in clean and sustainable energy and deepen trade and investment relations between Kenya and Japan.
Kenya said it values its longstanding partnership with Japan and expressed its intention to build stronger ties for the benefit of both countries and their people.
The meeting comes as countries around the world face growing pressure to accelerate climate action and expand access to cleaner sources of energy.
Both sides also recognised the potential to strengthen economic cooperation by expanding trade and investment links.

The discussions with Princess Takamado also underscored the importance of continued engagement between Kenya and Japan across areas of mutual interest.
