UAE President hosts Rulers and Crown Princes for Ramadan gathering at Qasr Al Bahr, reaffirming unity, heritage and shared vision for continued national prosperity
UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan received the Rulers of the Emirates, Crown Princes, Deputy Rulers and senior officials on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan in a gathering that reflected national unity, shared heritage and collective ambition for the country’s future.
The reception took place at Qasr Al Bahr in Abu Dhabi and was attended by His Excellency Prabowo Subianto, President of the Republic of Indonesia, who is currently on an official visit to the UAE. The presence of the Indonesian leader underscored the spirit of friendship and cooperation that characterises the UAE’s relations with nations across the world during the sacred month.
Their Highnesses exchanged Ramadan greetings and expressed prayers that the holy month would bring continued blessings, prosperity and security to the UAE, the wider Islamic world and beyond. The gathering provided an opportunity for the country’s leadership to reflect on the UAE’s ongoing development journey and the aspirations of its people.
Among those received by the President were His Highness Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai; His Highness Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Ruler of Sharjah; His Highness Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Ruler of Fujairah; His Highness Saud bin Rashid Al Mualla, Ruler of Umm Al Qaiwain; and His Highness Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah. The meeting was also attended by His Highness Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the Presidential Court.
In a cordial atmosphere, the leaders engaged in conversations centred on reinforcing the nation’s achievements and sustaining progress across economic, social and cultural spheres. They reaffirmed their shared determination to strengthen the Union and continue building on the foundations laid more than five decades ago. During the gathering, attendees viewed a documentary featuring testimonies from individuals who witnessed the historic moment when the late Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan raised the UAE flag for the first time, marking the birth of the Union in 1971. Participants in the film reflected on the profound personal and national significance of that milestone and the enduring meaning of unity in shaping the country’s success story.
The President also received a number of Crown Princes and Deputy Rulers, including His Highness Hamdan bin Mohammed Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Deputy Prime Minister; His Highness Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Maktoum, Second Deputy Ruler of Dubai; His Highness Sultan bin Mohammed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah; and other senior members of the ruling families from across the Emirates.
Also present were ministers, senior officials and dignitaries, reflecting the inclusive and collective spirit that defines governance in the UAE. The gathering highlighted how Ramadan serves not only as a time for spiritual reflection but also as an occasion to reinforce social cohesion and national solidarity.
Attendees performed the Maghrib prayer together before joining an iftar banquet hosted by the President in honour of the Rulers and Crown Princes. The shared meal symbolised unity and brotherhood, reinforcing bonds among the leadership as they continue to guide the country’s path forward.
