Giallorossi players will wear WFP logo as club raises awareness of Nepal’s humanitarian emergency…reports Asian Lite News Desk
Italian football club AS Roma will wear the logo of the United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) on the front of their shirts during Thursday’s European fixture against Fenerbahce as part of an initiative to support communities affected by devastating floods and landslides in Nepal.
The Giallorossi players will take to the field on September 10 with the WFP logo displayed on their shirts to raise awareness of the humanitarian emergency and highlight the organisation’s efforts to assist affected communities.
AS Roma thanked Eurobet.live for its collaboration on the initiative, which aims to draw greater attention to the crisis in Nepal.

Floods and landslides have severely affected several parts of Nepal, leaving entire communities isolated and creating urgent humanitarian needs. Around 43,000 people are estimated to require immediate assistance.
The WFP, the world’s largest humanitarian organisation fighting hunger, is responding by providing food assistance and logistical support to reach some of the worst-affected and isolated communities.

Roma’s support will extend beyond the match, with the shirts worn by the players set to be auctioned. Proceeds from the auction will go towards WFP operations supporting people affected by the disaster in Nepal.
Fans will also be able to contribute through ShareTheMeal, the WFP’s fundraising platform. A dedicated challenge, “AS Roma: Together for Nepal”, has been launched for the club’s international fan community to support the emergency response.
The initiative is part of Roma’s broader efforts to use football’s reach and visibility to support communities affected by humanitarian emergencies.
The club said the campaign aims to turn the passion of its supporters into a concrete act of solidarity with people facing the consequences of the floods and landslides.
