Wisdom Celebrates Design Futures

The event was inaugurated by Chief Guest Shri Rakesh Mishra, Chairman of the M.R. Group of Companies and President of the Ghaziabad Cricket Association, whose presence underscored the growing recognition of creative education as a key driver of future industries

Wisdom: The Design Era – Fashion Week, hosted by Wisdom College for Creativity & Design, concluded on a high note at Golden Dreams, Sector 51, Noida, emerging as a vibrant celebration of student creativity, innovation and future-ready education. The event brought together fashion, design and technology under one platform, reflecting the institution’s commitment to nurturing industry-ready creative professionals.

At the heart of the fashion week were original student designer collections inspired by cities such as Kolkata, Chennai, Ghaziabad and Lucknow. Each collection told a distinct story, drawing from regional culture, architecture, textures and lived experiences, while translating them into contemporary silhouettes and design sensibilities. Strong narratives, thoughtful craftsmanship and confident execution defined the runway, highlighting the students’ ability to merge tradition with modern design thinking.

The event was inaugurated by Chief Guest Shri Rakesh Mishra, Chairman of the M.R. Group of Companies and President of the Ghaziabad Cricket Association, whose presence underscored the growing recognition of creative education as a key driver of future industries. Adding professional polish to the student-led showcase were Show Directors Sham Khan and Khizar Hussain, who curated the runway experience with industry insight, precision and mentorship, ensuring that students experienced the rigour and discipline of a professional fashion show.

The showcase was further enriched by special designer presentations from Kingshuk Bhaduri, Prince Lahot, Sangeeta Kumari, Ashfaque Ahmad and Gagan Kumar. Their participation offered students valuable exposure to real-world fashion practices, creative standards and evolving industry expectations, bridging the gap between academic learning and professional realities.

Beyond fashion, Wisdom: The Design Era also spotlighted student excellence in Interior Design, Graphic Design, and Data Science & Artificial Intelligence. This multidisciplinary focus reinforced the college’s vision of education where creativity meets technology, and where designers are equipped not only with aesthetic sensibilities but also with analytical and digital skills essential for the future.

The event was seamlessly executed by the Management Team led by Mrs Puja Agarwal, under the overall guidance of organiser Dr Alam Sageer. Their coordinated efforts ensured a smooth, high-quality experience for participants, designers and guests alike.

Encapsulating the spirit of the event was the Vision Byte of Wisdom: The Design Era: “Fashion is not just worn, it is understood.” The fashion week stood out as more than a showcase—it became a platform that empowered students to express ideas, culture and identity, while confidently stepping into the professional worlds of fashion, design and technology.
