Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, met Emmanuel Macron, President of the French Republic, on the sidelines of the AI Impact Summit in New Delhi, reaffirming the strength of the UAE-France strategic partnership and signalling fresh momentum in technology-driven cooperation.
The meeting focused on advancing bilateral ties across key sectors, with particular emphasis on artificial intelligence and advanced technologies. Both leaders reviewed existing areas of collaboration and explored opportunities to deepen engagement in innovation, research and digital transformation, aligning with their shared ambition to broaden cooperation and serve mutual long-term interests.
Discussions centred on strengthening collaboration in AI development, enhancing knowledge exchange and building national capabilities in emerging technologies. The two sides underscored the importance of cultivating skilled talent and fostering innovation ecosystems that can deliver practical solutions to global challenges, from economic resilience to sustainable development.

During the summit’s opening session, discussions focused on expanding international collaboration to advance AI solutions that support sustainable economic and social development. Leaders examined strategies to strengthen public-private partnerships, accelerate AI-driven growth and ensure that emerging economies are active participants in shaping the digital future.
A key theme was bridging the Global North and Global South in AI cooperation, ensuring equitable access to technology and embedding innovation across priority sectors. The Leaders’ Plenary explored frameworks for responsible AI governance, while the Global Partnership on Artificial Intelligence convened representatives from 58 member countries to review progress and align shared priorities.
The UAE’s participation in the summit reflects its broader strategy of positioning advanced technologies at the heart of its economic diversification agenda.
