Alia Bhatt Steals Spotlight

Alia’s appearance at the ITA Awards comes close on the heels of her celebrated outing at the Red Sea International Film Festival, where she was honoured with the prestigious Golden Globe Horizon Award

Actor Alia Bhatt once again made heads turn with her understated elegance as she attended the Indian Television Academy (ITA) Awards held in Mumbai on Wednesday. Known for her effortless style statements, Alia chose a classic zari-bordered lehenga, keeping her look refined and sophisticated. Minimal makeup and softly styled open hair completed the ensemble, reinforcing her signature preference for graceful simplicity over excess.

The event saw the presence of several notable names from the entertainment industry, including Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai actor Pranali Rathod, veteran performer Anang Desai, television host Maniesh Paul, actor Rohit Roy, and filmmaker Ashoke Pandit, making the evening a star-studded affair.

Alia’s appearance at the ITA Awards comes close on the heels of her celebrated outing at the Red Sea International Film Festival, where she was honoured with the prestigious Golden Globe Horizon Award. The recognition was accompanied by a special retrospective celebrating her cinematic journey and growing global presence.

Confirming the honour on Instagram, Helen Hoehne, president of the Golden Globes, wrote, “Congratulations to Alia Bhatt, this year’s Golden Globes Horizon Award honoree — an exceptional talent whose global impact reflects the rising creative energy of the Middle East, Asia, and beyond.” Alia shared the honour with Tunisian actress Hend Sabry, with both being recognised for their significant contributions to film and television.

During the festival, Alia also spoke about her upcoming project ‘Alpha’, teasing audiences with details about the film and acknowledging the challenges that come with it. Describing the project as a “risk,” she explained that Alpha marks the first female-led action film from the Yash Raj Films (YRF) Universe. “You’ve not historically seen that perform in the same way that male-led films have performed,” she said, as quoted by Deadline, highlighting the industry’s evolving dynamics.

Alpha, the seventh film in the YRF Universe, stars Alia Bhatt, Sharvari, and Bobby Deol in pivotal roles. Produced by Yash Raj Films, the film is scheduled for release on April 17, 2026, and is widely expected to be a milestone moment for female-led action cinema in India.

From red carpets and international accolades to genre-defining films, Alia Bhatt continues to balance style, substance, and risk-taking, reinforcing her position as one of Indian cinema’s most influential contemporary voices.
