Li said Chinese President Xi Jinping had put forward four propositions on safeguarding and promoting peace and stability in the Middle East, along with a four-point proposal aimed at advancing regional common security.

According to Li, the initiatives had received a wide response from countries in the region and the international community.

He said China had been making efforts to promote peace talks and would continue working towards peace, stability and development in the region, guided by Xi’s proposals and broader initiatives.

The meeting highlights Beijing’s stated intention to deepen ties with Tehran while continuing to advocate diplomatic engagement amid regional tensions. The two countries established their comprehensive strategic partnership in 2016, and the 10th anniversary provides an opportunity to review and expand cooperation.
